Praying for Pastors by Name
17 May

In one week, 200 Haitian pastors will come to Port-au-Prince from all regions of this tiny Caribbean nation for a week of healing. At this event, they will receive counseling and be ministered to as they personally recover from the trauma of the Jan. 12 earthquake.
Below is a partial list of the pastors who will be attending next week. Leave your prayers for them and the others at the bottom of this page. These prayers will be compiled into a small booklets that will be handed out to each pastor at the retreat so they can see all that has been prayed for them.
Please keep these pastors on your hearts during this intense time. Pray that they will be renewed and equipped, so that they can, in turn, go out and minister to the Haitians in each of their churches and communities as the country rebuilds.
“The biggest blessing which our country needs it is that of a spiritual awakening of the church of Jesus Christ, and it will have to begin with the leaders. … Needed are new leaders for a new church, a new church for a new society, a new society for a new Haiti.“

Father God, I pray for Monoeil B. Lord send the Holy Spirit to guide him and speak to him. Write your scripture on his heart and in his mind so that he may first follow you, and then lead others with the truth only you give. Protect him from the attacks of satan and all evil spirits as he performs your work. Give him a clear understanding of your will over his life. Lord keep him and protect him and all those he serves. Amen!
O Lord, you know the men behind these names, names I’m not even sure how to pronounce. Each one is a person, a servant of your people, the Bride of Christ. In the best of times, they spread themselves thin to cover the needs of their people, to minister the grace and truth of Jesus by the power of your Spirit. In this time of great need, bless them with great grace. Multiply the usefulness of their time and the restorative effect of their sleep. Light the path before them as they press on. Prioritize for them as they think through each day. Move them towards the people you plan for them to bless. Pour out the balm of your Spirit into their own wounds. Bear their burdens of loss and fatigue. Carry them close to your heart. Fortify them to be able to take one more step and one more step in the right direction until they walk safely into the arms of the Good Shepherd with faithfulness in their wake. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Our Father in Heaven,
May Your Name be glorified in the ministry of these men, your sons. Heal them and teach them. Make Your face to shine upon them. Grant them indescribable peace and joy. Provide them with eyes to see You, Jesus, as their Bread and Water and Light. And may their souls find satisfaction in the Truth of Your Word: that You will never leave them or forsake them. Thank You for going to prepare a place for them. Come soon, Lord Jesus. And until then, let us find our rest in You.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.
Father, pour out your Spirit upon these men. Lord I pray that you would give them a double portion of your Spirit. Heal their hearts and bind their wounds. Give them hope. Give them life. Relieve their pain, their sorrow, and their distress. Bring light to their souls, that they would rejoice in You. Give them a heart of surrender to your will Lord, that in these days of immense darkness they would have the strength to be your hands and feet. You love them as your own Father. Consume them with your love, and pour out joy upon their souls.
Thank you Jesus for these men.
Praise the Lord for the servant hearts that He has given to each pastors and others that love the people of Haiti. I pray that through such hurt and loss, the light of Christ would be seen. Those that know Jesus as their savior would be given strength and peace that can only come from Him. I pray the gospel would fill the hearts of Gods children and overflow into the lives around them. May our identity be found only in Jesus who set us free and renews us by His blood. His mercies are new every morning and His peace transcends all understanding. Please Lord, draw your children to yourself and bring renewal to the Haiti people. In Jesus.
Lord, I want to ask for your grace, your mercy and your Spirit on these pastors.
You know their suffering, you know their pain, and you know the horror and terror of the earthquake.
You know the stress and the pressure and the fear involved in trying to lead your people in Haiti at this time.
I ask that you would bring healing and refreshment to them lord. Let them rest. Let them know your love and forgiveness. Let them know and feel the support of their brothers and sisters at churches helping churches and around the world, because we are with them in prayer.
Please heal their thoughts and emotions and set them free from anxiety, fear, worry. Let them trust you, let them rest in you, let them realise their limits as human beings and follow you in your strength and their weakness.
I ask that you would give them hope. Hope that you are with them always, that you love them, that you forgive them of ALL their sin, that their Spirit is in you.
Lord give them support, raise up men and women to help and support them in their churches and towns.
Lord teach them, let them learn from your word how to counsel and apply the gospel in their culture, in their mother tongue, in a Haitan way. Thankyou that you died for the people of Haiti and that you love the pastors and the people of Haiti. Lord, let you gospel go out to the people of Haiti by these men of yours.
Lord you are working even when we sleep. Be with them Lord, and show your glory in bringing light to this nation.
In the name of Chris,
Amen
I forgot to add in my previous prayer that I am in Sydney, Australia and we are praying for these pastors this weekend!
I pray that God will strengthen each and every one of you that when you return to Haiti, you’ll be able to be used mightily by God to bring healing to the souls that are hurting. I pray that because of the earthquake, people’s hearts would be more open, and that God can really minister to them and really bring a revival in Haiti. I pray that despite the seemingly hard times, God will continue to strengthen these pastors and help them to persevere and fight through and stay faithful to their calling. I pray that each one of them will feel God’s love for them and that they would never give up fighting for His Kingdom. I pray all these in Jesus’ name.
Dear Holy and Precious Father, I pray as you have allwoed these events to happen in Haiti, Lord that you will be glorified through your people there. That there will be a huge change and move towards true Gospel leadership and growth with in this nation. Lord the Earth is crying out to you and we pray that you will provide and be faithful.
I pray for these Haitian Pastors, Lord as they are there in a place that I long to be, a place of devastation, of humility, or hurt, of pain, of redemption, of grace, of purpose, Lord that you will give them humility in their leadership. Lord that as they are called to make Disciples that they will entrust faithful men with the Gospel who will continue to spread it and to multiply into the nations. Lord I pray that you will be so mighty and so powerful in the nation of Haiti, that you will grow these pastors up to be so fruitful that they will be coming and teaching us in the near future how to make Disciples.
Lord you are all powerful and there are people all over the Worls praying for these pastors by name, that You will teach them and build them up and give them the strength to serve you in such a time as this. God all the Glory goes to You and we are humbled to even be able to seek your truth.
Haiti is Yours! America is Yours! The whole earth is YOURS!!!
God you are good.
Heavenly Father, you love these men and your people. I groan with your Holy Spirit with aches for them. Father You alone know the depth of their struggles. Thank You Jesus for smiling on these men and honoring them with salvation. Thank you for dying on the cross for us so that we can walk with you. Please place Your hand on each of these individuals as they walk in faith by Your Holy Spirit, ministering to your people. Lord, I rejoice that we will all celebrate You in heaven. Thank You Jesus! Amen
Father God, I lift up these men to you and pray that they would be strengthened by you. I pray that Oberd T. would be renewed and refreshed during this time of fellowship. Lord, I pray that each of these men would continue to lean on you and trust in you even in the face of such tragedy. That You would carry their yoke and burdens and they would find peace in You alone. I pray that You would be glorified through it all and many faces would turn toward you.
I thank you God for the faith of these men and how it strengthens the faith of us who are far away. We give you all the glory Jesus. In Your Name, Amen.
